Our success story starts with a dream in the mind of a native, living in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh to bring a change in the spice industry and to introduce the world to Authentic and Exotic Great Indian Spices.
With the goal in his mind, Mr Ravishankar Sahu left his home and came to Indore where he started producing spices in 1982. Initially, in the early years, he operated on a very small scale being a one-man army for his business, then he started selling spices and herbs directly to the consumer or local food business.
Mr Ravishankar gave spices their abstract taste through his brilliant understanding of frying, roasting, grinding and blending. And the aroma added is pacifying.

Mr Ravishankar, with his faith in hard work and innovation, has steadily grown into a powerhouse spice importer, manufacturer, and supplier for customers throughout the world. We now have automatic machinery and very skilled labour to meet the fast-growing demand.
While our size and capabilities as a spice importer, manufacturer and supplier have greatly expanded, some things haven’t changed: our focus on quality, integrity, hygiene and involvement in the business.
Mr Ravishankar Sahu was a social entrepreneur and a great example of one. Magnitudes of his persona and his inspiring accomplishments were hidden deceptively behind his down to earth charisma and immense modesty. He participated in many CSR programs and has solved many problems in the community. All his social activities have contributed to the country's development.
His values and legacy lives on as a part of the essence of Ravi Spices.
